A Space to Be Heard

This is a space where you can exhale and be with someone who can hear you and is curious with you about where to go from here.

Online in the UK or in-person in Bedford

Meet the Founder

How it works

Maybe you’ve been carrying too much for too long. You’re overwhelmed, exhausted, confused or stuck.

You’d like to have a space and time to be able to be with your thoughts and feelings with someone who will hear you without judgement and with acceptance. You’d like to be able to untangle some of the things that have brought you here.

You might have issues going back to early life or maybe there is a here and now struggle you’d like to have a safe place to talk through and find a way forward. I’ll join you where you are.

Hello! I’m Kate –

– a fellow human on this journey of being alive! I have a life-long curiosity in how we humans relate to one another. I’m here to help you find your way forward and gain a greater understanding of where you would like to be in your life and relationships.

I am an accredited BACP counsellor working with individuals from all walks of life and of all ages from 18 years up.

I’ve been in practice for fourteen years and have in that time worked with charities, schools, local authorities and for the past four years have worked in private practice. I work online anywhere in the UK and in person in Bedford.

Who I work with

I work with a variety of issues including: depression, anxiety, bereavement, loss, relationships, co-dependency, life transitions, later life worries, low self esteem, feelings of numbness, stuckness, worries about family members. I also work with people who have experienced the loss of a beloved pet – the pain of which is often not acknowledged.

I have lived experience of being the adult child of an alcoholic (ACoA), supporting family members living with PMDD (Pre-Menstrual Dysphoric Disorder), ADHD, the impacts of addiction on individual or family members and generational trauma.

How I work

My aim is to provide a calm space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings without judgement and with acceptance.

I’m a person-centred integrative counsellor. I use a range of different models and approaches which are tailored to you and which emerge naturally in our work together.

Here’s the listy bit: Models, approaches and techniques I use include relational, psychodynamic, attachment theory, parts work, somatics, breathwork, mindfulness techniques, poly vagal theory and trauma informed.

First Step

Why not take the next step?

If any of this resonates with you, I’m here for a free initial Zoom call. This first contact will usually last around twenty minutes. It gives us a chance to get a sense of each other and to chat through what you’re looking for.

Then, if we feel we’d be a good fit you can book in a session. When you email or telephone to arrange this I will get back to you as soon as possible, usually within 24 hours.
